  1. Made to Stick:  Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, by Chip Heath & Dan Heath.  We all have ideas and we all work hard to have them catch on and succeed.  The authors lay out their six research-based traits of “sticky” ideas – ideas that cut through and catch on in a powerful way.
  2. Predictably Irrational:  The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely.  The more we understand about how people make decisions, the better we can understand how to attract audiences.  If you read and liked Freakonomics, you’ll like this book, too.  Both turn some conventional wisdom on its ear.
  3. High Definition:  An A to Z Guide to Personal Technology by the Editors of the American Heritage Dictionaries.  This small format paperback can be your handy guide to getting a start on the ever-changing vocabulary of today’s personal technology.  Use it as a companion to the constantly updated online dictionary of computers and internet terms, webopedia.com.
