An extensive educational background, with a BA in Broadcast Research and MBA combined with 15 years of experience in strategic research design and analysis, Senior Research Analyst Mark Petersen is ideally positioned to use strategic research as a foundation to develop a business-based action plan for clients to build a successful brand.

The innovative designs which Mark has developed in his tenure at AR&D enable clients to receive research information in a time frame never before thought possible - some research project results are delivered in as little as 24 hours. These innovative designs also enable clients to benefit from his experience, perspective and insights so research results are more than just "numbers." The research results tell "the story of the market," identify different and better aspects of all competitors and discover unfulfilled opportunities in the marketplace.

Mark's comprehensive brand study designs utilize original research techniques to determine viewers' behavioral and emotional drivers. Determining these drivers is key. When the audiences' drivers are known an overarching brand can be built by putting resources in the right places so a viewer's attention will be turned to your product. Once a brand grabs viewers' attention; the audience will begin to form an emotional attachment to the station, thus giving the station a loyal fan base.

Mark has managed a variety of research duties in the past 15 years; including supervising over 400 research projects in the United States, Canada and Europe. Innovating Real-Time-Response (RTR) strategic analysis techniques that answer "the big questions" rather than measuring how viewers are reacting to a particular segment of tape. Developing many strategic models and implementing statistical processes using these analytical tools, Mark does not just "use" he fully understands how to apply them to benefit a client's business.

Over the years Mark has been considered a strong team player collaborating with a variety of research analysts, consultants, research firms, international marketing firms, venture capitalists, local civic leaders as well as local and national TV station executives. Mark enjoys travel, baseball and water sports. He is married with three children and lives in The Colony, TX.
